One possible version:
Dear Anna,
I am so happy to learn you are coming to study in our school and stay at my home.
My home is at No.58, Xingfu Road, just opposite a bank. A five-minute walk from my home along Xingfu Road westward will bring you to a crossroads, where Xingfu Road meets Youyi Street. On the southeast corner of the crossroads lies a shopping mall, where you can get everything you need. Walk north for about 300 meters, along Youyi Street, and you’ll see our school on the right. There we will spend most of the daytime. At the east end of Xingfu road stands the new railway station and it’s easy to reach, as a bus stop is just next to my home and No.26 or No.46 bus will directly take you there.
I can’t wait to see you in China.
Yours
Li Hua

(Text 1)
M: I thought you were going out dancing this evening.
W: I was, but I cancelled my plans because Catherine came down with a headache.
(Text 2)
M: I’m just going out for a newspaper. Can I get you anything?
W: It’s Sarah’s birthday today. I’ve got her a card, but can you buy her some chocolate?
M: But Sarah says she prefers a nice plant. I’ll get that.
(Text 3)
M: Would you like to go to that new restaurant tonight?
W: I’d love to! But only if we can take a taxi. It’s all the way at the end of the bus line.
M: OK. We can take one directly from work.
(Text 4)
W: Why are you taking that Chinese class?
M: For e-mail. I have a pen friend in China and he doesn’t understand English.
(Text 5)
M: We’re playing tennis on Saturday, April the fifteenth, right?
W: Yes, we’re playing on Saturday, but that’s the sixteenth.
(Text 6)
W: Hi. Are you and David still there? I want you to buy something else.
M: Yep, we’re here. What shall I get?
W: A bottle of milk, a dozen eggs, coffee beans and a loaf of wheat bread. Then I’d like three steaks. They looked so good last time I was there.
M: Umm. Anything else?
W: You’d better write this down. Ever since you turned 40, your memory isn’t what it used to be! We also need some medicine. The baby is running a slight fever.
M: Got it. Even my 40-year-old brain can remember that much.
(Text 7)
M: Hello, Karen. It’s John. I’ve got your telephone message yesterday about the meeting. I’m sorry I didn’t get back to you.
W: That’s OK. But I’m flying out to Paris for business and we need to meet before I leave. Is Tuesday all right for you?
M: Not really. How about Thursday?
W: Fine. I’ve got to be in the office on Thursday morning anyway. How about lunchtime?
M: Well, that’s fine by me, but we should find out if Steve’s available then, as well.
W: That’s true. I’ll send him an e-mail now. Bye.
(Text 8)
M: You didn’t forget to pack the camera this year, did you?
W: No George, it’s in your hand luggage.
M: And the traveller’s cheques? Have you got them in your bag?
W: Yes George. You ask me the same questions every time we go away.
M: I know, and you still manage to forget something.
W: Well, next year you can see to everything yourself. Now, calm down and give me the tickets!
M: The tickets? What tickets? Don’t tell me you left them on the kitchen table!
(Text 9)
W: It must be very strange to be back home after such a long time.
M: Yes, it is. I mean, it’s lovely to see everybody.
W: Let’s have a look at these photos then. This looks nice. Where is it?
M: Where do you think it is?
W: Ah, well … it must be somewhere really hot. I suppose it could be Thailand or Bali, or it could even be India.
M: It’s India. That’s my first visit. I was nearly hurt in a fight between the locals. Oh, look at this one. It’s in Fiji. This man wanted me to marry his daughter. She was beautiful.
W: Oh, a Fijian wedding … that would’ve been fun. Ah, look at this photo. It is a bit different. Oh, the clothes in the shop are so beautiful. Who’s the girl by the way?
M: Oh, yes … er, she’s Argentinian.
W: It can’t be Argentina, can it? Maybe it’s Chile?
M: No, it’s the southern part of Argentina. And now she works as a salesgirl in Switherland.
(Text 10)
W: You’re listening to Radio South. Here is some information about a pop concert. The group Red River will come to London soon. They will be in London from the 28th of October to the 2nd of November. After that they will be in Oxford from the 4th of November until the 9th. Tickets are quite expensive — they cost £38 each, but half of that money will go to a children’s hospital. Tickets will sell quickly for this famous band so book early. To book a ticket for a London concert, telephone 383-0065 between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Have a credit card number ready. They don’t accept cash or check. The London concerts will be in South Bank Hall. It’s very easy to find. The best way to get there is to take the train. The concert hall is in Main Street. See you there.
